Hi, I got a parking fine for exceeding the permitted time in a KFC parking managed by CIVIL ENFORCEMENT. I was a paying customer of KFC & had to wait on the queue significantly due to delays in the service (stuck in queue & not parked in any bay). Queue was bigger than normal due to COVID (17/01/21).
I’m a single mum and currently on benefits if that makes a difference, unable to afford the ridiculous amount but more importantly believe it’s wrong to do that.
I’ve contacted CIVIL ENFORCEMENT via telephone as no email is provided on their website, I asked for an email as I wanted to challenge this PCN but was told you HAVE to appeal. Now, I believe appealing is a form of acceptance or admittance.
I contacted KFC too, they advise to appeal.
I have now received court paperwork and desperately need help in sorting this out.
I have seen a letter to send them which I attach, in hopes someone tells me wether is applicable.
I also attach photo of solicitors letter and the Court paperwork.
Thanks

Defend it!
They rely on getting default judgments and a defended claim makes it financially uneconomical for them to pursue it through the courts.
This article should help, and has a free template defence.
