Hi guys
Marstons came today to seize goods for a court fine.I can't pay them as I don't have £1000 they have given me till Monday to get the cash or they take goods. I have raised £150 so far. Its for a court fine that was originally £700 now its 1015. They made a attachment of earnings but I lost my job and now can't pay it but can by instalments as am receipt of universal credit but they won't accept it. Will the court if I speak to them which I intend to tomorrow help as my circumstances have changed. I read that I can apply for a administration order but the bailiff said I can't as its not a civil matter but a criminal court fine. Am at my wits end I have committed suicide a few times in the past few months but my life is just going from bad to worse I am also behind on all my bills and rent. I just don't see no light at the end of the tunnel Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Re: Marstons
Contact the fines officer at the court and report a change of circumstances since you were fined citing part 85 of the Magistrate Courts Act 1980. This allows the court to remit all or some of the outstanding amount and arrange for an affordable repayment plan. This will likely be £20 per month. The bailiffs will also be removed.
