Bristow & Sutor

Post by Wildthing »

New on this forum.

About 12 months ago I received a PCN from Dudley MBC for over staying in a council car park. I appealed and lost and then had to pay the full amount.

I paid the full amount on line but after I paid it I started to receive letters from Bristow & Sutor chasing the parking fine plus £310 for enforcement action.

I had one of their goons turn up at the door 8pm one night in June and I advised and showed him that I had paid the parking fine and he even took a screen shot on his phone as proof.

However, I received another letterand visit from them chasing me for the enforcement costs.

The car was registered to our childminding trading name and this is who the letters are addressed to. This company has been voluntary liquidated so does the fine and liability die with the company?

There is no fees liability if the debt was paid before the date on the warrant of control. You can get the warrant date by calling the Traffic Enforcement Centre on 0300 123 1059 and press 4 to skip the robot. When your call is answered, give the PCN number and ask for the date of the warrant and the enforcement address.

Company was liquidated though - don't they become an unsecured creditor?

They do. Provided the company's name is on the warrant of control.

Yes, the company was liquidated as we no longer worked as childminders - do I have to send them a cease and desist type letter?
