Post by Poppyjones1980 »

Hi
My soon to be ex husband is on bail and can’t come near myself my kids or the property, where do I stand with bailiffs turning up?

Should bailiffs arrive at your residence searching for your former partner, rest assured that you are not responsible for their debts.

If an unannounced visitor shows up at your door clad in police-like attire and appears overly equipped, it is best not to open the door.

Such individuals will eventually leave, and you will be left in peace.

Hi

Thanks for the advice, he’s currently awol, I have lots of u opened post for him but one letter was not sealed properly so I read it, it’s from a solicitors office, he was trying to sue someone and had obviously gone in the weeks/months they’ve been trying to contact him, now they’ve said they will charge him for their services as no response and will take money from his half ownership of the property!

Let’s be clear: this issue is not yours to worry about.

However, if you wish to take a proactive approach, you could inform the sender that the recipient no longer resides at the address.
