I have a ccj action against me for an old credit card debt sold to Cabot they are threating both a warrant of control and/or an order to obtain information.
IN regards to an order to obtain information does that have to be served personally can I just avoid them? any other advice about this would be welcome.

If a debt collector is pursuing a purchased debt, you can stall their efforts by requesting that they prove their right to the debt and provide a signed copy of the assignment deed indicating the amount for which the debt was acquired.
