Letter from DCBL

Post by melissaswan5700 »

Hello all,

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have received a letter today from DCBL stating that there is a CCJ against me, and the court has awarded in the favour of their client and they can collect the debt.

Firstly I have no clue what the debt is for- I’m guessing a parking ticket: however, I have had zero correspondence regarding court, request for payment, bailiffs or anything until this letter.

I have checked trust online and my credit file and there is no CCJ on my file.

The letter states that a CCJ was awarded on the 21/06/2021. How can this be possible without my knowledge.

I’m not bothered about paying the fine it’s more that they have written stating I have a CCJ which I clearly don’t as I have checked today.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice

😀

Can you say how much the judgment debt it.

The enforcement rules and charges are different depending on the debt amount.

Other than that, you can apply to stay the enforcement and then apply to set aside the judgment.
