Pity the news article doesn't say what the agreed sum in damages will be.
With QC's for Brinkworth and for DCBL, the legal bill will be about £50K.
The current TV show featuring "Absolute Enforcement" has over 200K in claim damages across three different victims currently moving slowly through the legal machinery.
Most are biz clients for a water bill owed by a previous tenant, and all have the same claimant water company and same bailiff. I expect that figure to double when the lawyer's costs are thrown on top.
Lawyers for the victims are getting together to make a class action because all cases involve the same bailiff following an established modus operandi.
I am expecting more 'Absolute' cases to come my way as more TV material is made.
