A detailed assessment of the fees would probably get most of that money back as costs.

Since the Davenport/DCBL case, the matter of charging VAT on bailiffs fees is getting messy with several High Court detailed assessments awarding costs against bailiff companies.

I have a feeling a certain Sunday newspaper is getting ready to blow the lid on it. They are poking around for debtors with a bailiffs VAT demand.
