Unable to pay JBW until 24hrs after deadline- how likely they will visit in interim?

Stop or Suspend Enforcement. Appeal the PCN. Claim Damages for Unlawful Interference with Vehicles.

Unable to pay JBW until 24hrs after deadline- how likely they will visit in interim?

Post by thisismyname »

Hello, I'd really be grateful for some advice. I appreciate that no-one will be able to give me a definitive answer on this one.

I have a deadline for payment of 6am 20th August, from JBW, for two unpaid Dart charges. I've spoken to them twice and explained that I don't get paid until 21st and will pay the entire amount at that point. I've also sent on proof of the vulnerability of my household.
They're telling me that they can't hold enforcement for 24 hours and all they can do is put a note on the account that I will pay on the 21st.
How likely is it, do yo think, that they are likely to visit me on the 20th before I can pay first thing on the 21st- I have a very specific reason for asking and it's related to the health of someone I live with so would appreciate any responses.

Thank you.

You are guaranteed the only time a bailiff won't be seen is a time he says he will turn up. Bailiffs are very camera-shy and by turning up when expected, ends up in being ambushed by TV crew making prank videos or documentaries on rogue bailiffs.

That need to be copied to the council.

They are messing you about.

If it is that imperative that a bailiff must not attend before the 20th then Appeal the PCN which suspends the enforcement power which gives you a 4-week breathing space. The law says the enforcement must be suspended until the outcome of the appeal has been decided.

Here are some other ways to stop a Parking ticket bailiff.
