Ross and Roberts - moved house
Ross and Roberts - moved house
So I’ve got this debt from Ross & Roberts. They first came to me back in March for an outstanding amount of £876 of which included £235 enforcement fee and £75 compliance fee. I offered to pay him all I had for food and general costs to support my son which was £200 cash. Even though I said he’d be leaving me with absolutely nothing to live off he said I had to pay otherwise he’d take my car (not on finance). I explained I needed my car for school runs and work and he sort of ignored what I said and asked how much I could pay monthly to repay the debt. I said I don’t get any guaranteed work being self employed so he came up with a figure himself of £78.25 until I paid it. I made two payments but then could no longer afford to live at that address let alone pay this agent. So I stopped paying (currently 2 months behind) and I’ve since moved house. I am a single parent with a 4yr old and on income support so I was advised to tell this agent that I was classed as vulnerable. He told me I was talking utter rubbish and there’s no such thing - is that true and was I right? Also wanted to know if I could pay the council direct what I owe or even pay Ross & Roberts on their website? Will they find me? If they do will hey still take my car? THte office won’t let me make a payment to them and have said I need to call the agent and sort it out with him. This guy has been horrible though, I asked for proof they are paying the council and he said I shouldn’t accuse him of being a rogue - his words not mine. I’ve paid them in total £356.50

NEVER NEVER put money into a bailiffs website: This is what will happen to it: https://www.nationalbailiffadvice.uk/Co ... ached.htmlis that true and was I right? Also wanted to know if I could pay the council direct what I owe or even pay Ross & Roberts on their website?
Eventually yes, depending on the effort they are willing to put into finding you. Will they find me?
If they do will they still take my car?
Legally they can take your car, but bailiffs are only interested in taking cars worth more than £1000 otherwise it cots more than its worth, and the liability risk when enforcement goes wrong is astronomical.
The bailiff company is messing you about. Pay the council directly and that takes the bailiff out of the loop.THte office won’t let me make a payment to them and have said I need to call the agent and sort it out with him.
That will never come off your council tax because the bailiff will tropuser ther money under a pretense they can take fees apportioned from the money taken so that all fees are deducted first. This guy has been horrible though, I asked for proof they are paying the council and he said I shouldn’t accuse him of being a rogue - his words not mine.
